Tiller repaired in one week and back in the field thanks to our in-country workshop

After successfully eliminating explosive threats from over 12,500 square metres of Ukrainian soil, our integrated tiller attached to our GCS-200 demining platform and operated by the The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) recently encountered an anti-tank (AT) mine. This time the damage needed extensive repairs, something GCS is prepared for.

Thanks to the know-how and expertise at our in-country Service and Maintenance workshop near Kyiv, two Ukrainian GCS technicians under the guidance of experienced Technical Director Ievgen Trofymenko were able to repair the tiller in a week.

Rapid reaction times like these are part of the unique offering GCS provides on-site, including mobile repair units which permit in-field servicing to keep our machines operating efficiently and effectively. Demining Ukraine accelerates recovery and restores essential levels of infrastructure and economic activity.

Our emphasis on knowledge transfer not only maximises productivity, it also promotes safety for all involved: this machine previously cleared over 20 anti-personnel (AP) mines, each of which would have been capable of killing and seriously injuring civilians.
