Our thanks go to the Association of Sustainable Development Experts (ASDE) for hosting our valued partner NIBULON in a panel discussion. which referenced our demining project made possible through the support of DEG Impulse, as part of the develoPPP programme, with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The discussion “ESG disclosure as an avenue for social and economic change – how to get all stakeholders on board?” was part of the 4th International Sustainability Forum and included Mykhailo Rizak, Director of Government Relations at NIBULON Ltd. highlighting the socially responsible policies implemented by Ukraine’s largest exporter of wheat.
Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) are proud to have partnered with NIBULON early on to ensure safety for farmers through our demining expertise. As Rizak explained, “As a socially responsible business we released 5,000 hectares of previously occupied territory back to farmers by undertaking demining and getting [demining] certifications.”
He continued: “Virtually wherever we look we see private-public partnerships. We are talking about ensuring sustainability and minimising the environmental impact of our economic activity on the environment.”
At GCS, we wholeheartedly agree that businesses can demonstrate through practical cases that in Ukraine, as elsewhere, effectiveness is about partnership and promoting safety.
Thanks also go to Vladislav Antypov, CEO of the Center of Environment and New Technologies Development in Kyiv, for moderating a stimulating panel discussion.
