During our recent visit to Kyiv, GCS got to see some of the remnants of war that were amassed by various agencies since the current conflict began.
We saw a wide range of landmines, hand grenades, rockets, autocannon calibres and more. These were merely some of the munitions gathered from a nearby battlefield. Sources suggest that a larger variety of threats are being stored in similar warehouses scattered around the country. Local authorities have been extremely busy, but their work is far from over.
How long it will take to effectively clear Ukraine of such hazards and prevent any further damage remains to be seen. GCS is committed to supporting reconstruction efforts by safely clearing explosive threats and offering forms of risk education. Below is just a snapshot of some of the ordnance that we were able to verify. In order of appearance when scrolling to the right:
TM-62 Anti-Tank mines
