Earlier today dozens gathered in the Telkif district near Mosul in Iraq. Community members, including local school children, were invited by GCS to participate in a workshop commemorating the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. Held on the 4th of April the day is aimed at educating the public about the dangers of landmines, which remain a serious threat in numerous countries around the world.
