As pioneers of mine and clearance solutions, GCS have signed our first rental agreement with Danish Church Aid to lease one of our flagship GCS-200 demining machines. As part of the agreement, GCS Ukraine will provide training for DCA personnel, technical support during the rental period, and a comprehensive spare parts package, with the option to purchase the leased vehicle in the future.
Ihor Bezkaravainyi, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine praised the agility of the scheme: "The ability for operators to rent rather than purchase demining machines significantly increases the capacity for mine clearance operations. For example, an operator who wins a tender for clearing an agricultural site can lease a machine, complete training, obtain the necessary certification, and then complete the demining contract much faster. We are seeing a growing demand for such rentals, which indicates the development of the humanitarian demining market,"
The scale of demining in Ukraine demands flexible solutions. Dmytro Salimonov, Global Clearance Solutions Ukraine General Manager, is focused on accelerating the pace of clearing Explosive Remnants of War (ERW) in all affected regions:
"The agricultural sector is one of the pillars of our economy, and every day of delay in clearing mined land results in losses for both people and the country. I firmly believe that demining operators and equipment manufacturers should consider rental as an effective solution. Access to technology, training, and expertise will help make our country safer."
