Last week, on 16 May, during a ceremonial session to mark City Day in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Mykhailo Positko — Mayor of Kamianets-Podilskyi — presented the City Council’s “Respect and Dignity” honorary award to Stanislav Kanibolotskyi, Geographic Information Science (GIS) Specialist at GCS Ukraine and Senior Sergeant at the 143rd Joint Training Centre "Podillia".
This award is a recognition not only of his service to his hometown, but also of his dedication to the entire nation. Before joining GCS Ukraine, Stanislav walked an extraordinary path: he volunteered for the "Aidar" battalion in 2014, served in an artillery brigade, was mobilised three times, and completed combat missions across multiple fronts. After sustaining a severe injury in Bakhmut, which resulted in the loss of his leg and a long rehabilitation, he returned to service — this time as a humanitarian demining expert within our team.

At the Ukrainian Demining Centre in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Stanislav trained members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, as well as special operations personnel from the SBU and HUR, in explosive ordnance and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) handling.
This is more than a story of professional excellence — it is a testament to resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering belief in Ukraine. We wholeheartedly congratulate Stanislav and all those recognised with this honour. Their courage and strength of character are truly inspiring.
