Flaghip projects award highlights successful, inspiring international investment in Ukraine

Day one of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin set a high standard, illuminating investment to deliver resilient recovery in Ukraine.

Best practice investment projects received the event’s Lighthouse Project award. This initiative, jointly awarded by Robert Habeck and Yulia Svyrydenko, recognises Global Clearance Solutions (GCS)’s commitment since 2022 to eliminating explosive threats from landmines and explosive remnants of war in Ukraine, building local capacity and working with industry and state authority partners to create safe environments even in challenging conditions. Congratulations to all recipients and thank you to everyone at GCS, both in Ukraine and internationally, working hard every day on the ground and behind the scenes.

It was a day of international cooperation and solidarity to foster sustainability and stability in Europe, attended by Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis, all of whom emphasised the importance of concerted efforts from both international governments as well as business at this critical time.
