GCS signs memorandum of cooperation and specialist training with Forests of Ukraine

State enterprise Forests of Ukraine is one of the largest state-owned forest companies in Europe, managing 6.6 million hectares with 33,000 employees safeguarding Ukrainian forests by planting over 200 million trees annually. These forests are protected from fire with over 190 fire stations and 460 surveillance towers, and provide not only sustainable timber stock revenues, but 1,100 play areas for Ukrainian families. To date, Forests of Ukraine has overseen the replacement of almost 170 thousand hectares of forest arches ДП "Ліси України".

Ukrainian forests must be safe. Yesterday Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) signed a memorandum of cooperation and special training to include training for Forests of Ukraine employees, their foresters, on the detection of various types of ammunition and explosive objects in forest areas.
