GCS conduct Provincial Explosive Assessment & Reporting training in Ukraine

As specialists with decades of combined experience in explosive threat mitigation covering demining, IEDD, EOD and range clearance, our Operations team know the lethal dangers to civilians returning to their homes in previously occupied territory. Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) developed bespoke Provincial Explosive Assessment and Reporting (PEAR) training programmes designed to provide critical protocols for provincial and municipality leaders, who manage field workers including first responders, forest workers and local guards and ensure their safety as they work to rebuild villages and communities.

The project was supported by DEG Impulse as part of the #develoPPP programme with funding from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ)).

Standard training programmes can only go so far. Our mission is to create safe environments with our customised solutions that take Ukraine’s specific needs into account, be that terrain, how the land is used and of course the challenges to deminers and communities posed by operating during wartime. The 48 participants in our latest course received educational materials, GPS devices and a tablet with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) already installed, enabling Ukrainians to remain in contact with GCS while undertaking critical executive activities.
