Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) would like to thank the European Business Association for their kind invitation to attend two events in Kyiv this month promoting investment in Ukraine. While many foreign companies have suspended business activities and investment since the start of the war, GCS decided as early as mid-2022 to proactively develop the Ukrainian market. Using new robotics, sensor- and drone solutions and in cooperation with authorities and organisations including The State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the Ukraine Ministry of Defence and National Police, as well as industry leaders such as NIBULON Ltd, we are clearing critical civilian and industrial land of landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW).
EBA’s Global Outlook event discussed how defence and related sectors, such as our own centre of expertise, the safe detection and clearance of landmines and other remnants of war, are stimulating the economy.
As the first commercially-accredited company in Ukraine in the field of explosive ordnance disposal and mine clearance, GCS is widely recognised by the authorities and other decision-makers for our commitment which puts us in a position to provide Ukraine with active and sustainable support in the reconstruction process.
General Manager Dmytro Salimonov, who attended both events, heads our Kyiv office with over 20 permanent, local staff.
We are building up local, diverse and gender-balanced capacity so that long-term, Ukraine itself can create safe environments for its population. Economic activity in Ukraine is not only possible, but is of essential value and benefit.
