Last week Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) AG and our local LLC Global Clearance Solutions Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding with Ruslan Kravchenko, head of the Kyiv regional authority.

The memorandum demonstrates our ongoing commitment to creating safe environments in Ukraine, as elsewhere across the globe. Since establishing our presence in Ukraine in 2022, our focus on local capacity building combined with operational excellence has proven a uniquely effective combination and has resulted in a significant investment in Ukrainian capital, empowering local operators and ensuring cooperation with newly established structures, including government authorities such as Demine Ukraine.

GCS Ukraine General Manager Dmytro Salimonov welcomed the opportunity to foster closer working relationships with the Kyiv regional authority and strengthen ties with local communities: *GCS is on the ground with our technology, expertise and – from our workshop close to Kyiv – service and maintenance services involving local deminers and employees in the challenge of demining Ukraine.”

As the first commercially accredited demining company in Ukraine, GCS has been at the forefront of establishing local partnerships. With over 50 of our own demining machines currently deployed in Ukraine, GCS has trained more than 1000 municipal leaders and key community stakeholders to manage the risk of unexploded ordnance (UXO) and other ERW with and for their municipalities.
