It was an honour to attend the Baghdad International Fair within the German Pavillion this month. Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) Iraq Branch Manager Wissam Allamy, Business Development Director (MENA & GCC) Amer Mardam-Bey as well as Iraq Operations Manager Aladdin Mosa, leader of our demining projects in Mosul, thank the event organisers, the Iraqi General Company for Exhibitions and Commercial Services and the delegations who contributed to the event’s success.

We were especially privileged to meet the governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, his Excellency Mr. Ali Mohsen Ismail. As a fully registered and accredited company by The Directorate of Mine Action, GCS has been operating in Iraq since 2019 working in Mosul, Sinjar, Tel Afar, Telkif, Hamdaniya and Bashiqa.

We are proud to have cleared over 7,883,750 m2 and trained and deployed the first Iraqi all-female clearing team.

GCS is committed to assisting Iraq with its National Mine Action Strategy 2023-2028 to become fully decontaminated and we continue to advocate for demining and creating safe environments in Iraq and around the world.
