It was a pleasure to welcome Iryna Venediktova, Ukrainian Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, and her team to our Freienbach office last week. Demining as the path to creating safe environments for everyone in Ukraine is top of the global agenda, and Global Clearance Solutions are able to deliver a full spectrum of demining solutions, from technology to training and service and maintenance of the ten machines delivered and operational so far, with more than 30 more scheduled by summer next year.
With more than 90% of Ukrainian adults aged 20-24 completing upper secondary education and the highest overall proportion of university educated adults among European Neighbourhood Policy-East countries, handing over the task of long-term demining to Ukraine’s energetic, educated population will play an important role in social rehabilitation.
