COVID-19 and Business Continuity

Dear GCS Customer and/or Supplier,

All of us here at GCS are deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of our families, colleagues, clients, partners, suppliers, and all those who make up our global GCS family. In such unprecedented times, our thoughts are with those who have been affected personally by the pandemic. We want to outline the steps we are taking to secure the continuity of our business, and yours:

Working Remotely: Most teams can work remotely. Colleagues around the globe are working separately and remotely where possible to mitigate the risk of whole teams becoming infected. Based on the guildance from health authorities, employees who must be on-site are applying social distancing and are spending only the minimum time required in the respective locations. Furthermore, rotating schedules have been implemented to reduce the number of staff in a single location. GCS has also provided gloves and masks for the protection of our employees, wherever possible. We are working hard to ensure that disinfection protocols are in place and that all our sites remain as sterile as possible - regular hand washing is mandatory.

Our Suppliers: GCS is supported by several suppliers and we are in contact with all of them on a regular basis to ensure they apply similar mitigation practices with their teams, while still maintaining service levels.

As we all navigate this pandemic filled with uncertainty, GCS is fully committed to ensuring the health and safety of our employees. This is our top priority in order to maintain the business continuity needed to provide the necessary support and service for our clients. We are working closely with the health authorities, to coordinate all efforts around the COVID-19 situation and to provide guidance to GCS employees.

Further travel and event measures include:

  • Restricting employee travel. Exceptions will be determined by GCS management in accordance with government regulations.

  • Conducting only business-critical travel through the end of April, which is subject to local regulatory guidance and restrictions.

  • Cancelling or postponing physical events for March and April, and determining which events should take place virtually
