Videos of GCS-200 tested by CROMAC-CTDT
In March/April 2019, GCS had the opportunity to test and demonstrate the maximum survivability of one of its remote-controlled multi-purpose machines, the GCS-200. Equipped with the T-200 Tiller attachment, the machine underwent rigorous testing protocol by the Croatian Mine Action Centre – Centre for Testing, Development and Training (CROMAC-CTDT). The GCS-200 delivered an outstanding performance and successfully neutralised 22 mines. As a result, the GCS-200 received certification from CROMAC for safe, efficient and effective mechanical demining.
The videos below provide a more detailed look at each of the test scenarios:
Performance test on 3 lanes: topsoil, sand and gravel
GCS-200 with the Tiller attachment
50 m test lanes with 3 witness boards
Continuous and consistent Penetration of all lanes
Average Penetration depth: 23 - 24 cm
GCS-200 Efficiency 1,200 - 1,400 m2/h
Outstandinig performance of the GCS-200
Vegetation clearance test
GCS-200 with the Tiller attachment
Tests performed in low, medium and high Vegetation
GCS-200 clears trees up to 15 cm in Diameter
Outstandinig performance of the GCS-200
AP mines: Performance, Survivability and Acceptance test
GCS-200 with the Tiller attachment
5 PMA3 mines, 5 PMA1A mines
Placed at the depth of 5, 10, 10, 15, 20 cm
5 PMA2 blast mines placed, for activation with tripwire
2 PMR2A and 2 PROM1 fragmentation AP mines placed, for activation by tripwire and pressure
GCS-200 neutralises all mines without damage
Outstanding performance of the GCS-200
AT mines: Performance, Survivability and Acceptance test
GCS-200 with the Tiller attachment
TMA3 - 1 EA mine placed for activation by pressure
TMRP6 - 2 EA mine placed for activation by tilt rod
GCS-200 successfully neutralises both mines
Minimal damage to 2 chisels and the holder on the T-200 tiller attachment
TMRP6 ERP placed for activation by pressure
GCS-200 neutralises TMRP6 ERP without any damage
Outstanding performance of the GCS-200
