Across explosive threat mitigation operations, safety and reliability depend on a wide range of professional roles working together. On International Women's Day, Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) recognises the contribution of women across its organisation who support the delivery of safe, consistent and accountable operations worldwide.

Women at GCS work across operational and support functions, including medical support, quality management, production coordination, finance, people and culture, and fieldbased activities. These roles are integral to ensuring that clearance activities, training programmes and technical support are delivered to the required standards.

In this video, we highlight some of these roles and perspectives, showing how individual expertise contributes to creating safe environments for civilians and supporting teams working in complex and highrisk contexts.

GCS also acknowledges the families who support employees working overseas and in the field, particularly in environments affected by conflict, where sustained commitment and resilience are required.

International Women's Day is an opportunity to reflect on how diverse skills and professional pathways strengthen operational effectiveness and long-term capability in explosivethreat mitigation.
