GCS Ukraine receives mechanical demining operator accreditation

Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has received official accreditation as a mechanical demining operator in Ukraine from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.

Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has received official accreditation as a mechanical demining operator in Ukraine from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.

The accreditation authorises GCS Ukraine to conduct mechanical demining operations in accordance with national mine action requirements and confirms compliance with the applicable regulatory and operational standards.

The recognition supports Ukraine's long-term objective to address widespread contamination from landmines and explosive remnants of war. Public reporting, including analysis by GLOBSEC, has highlighted that progress towards largescale clearance depends on the availability of qualified personnel, appropriate machinery and robotic systems.

Ashley Williams, Deputy Head of Operations at Global Clearance Solutions, commented:

"This accreditation reflects the professionalism and competence of our teams in Ukraine, from locally employed deminers to specialists with decades of operational experience. It confirms our ability to operate in line with International Mine Action Standards while addressing real and ongoing explosive threats."

GCS continues to support clearance activities in Ukraine through the deployment of mechanical systems, trained personnel and locally established operational and support structures.
