GCS signs memorandum of cooperation and specialist training with Forests of Ukraine

Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the state enterprise Forests of Ukraine, covering specialist training related to explosivehazard awareness and safety in forested areas.

Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the state enterprise Forests of Ukraine, covering specialist training related to explosivehazard awareness and safety in forested areas.

Under the agreement, GCS will provide targeted training for Forests of Ukraine employees, including foresters, focusing on the recognition and identification of ammunition and explosive objects that may be present in forest environments. The training is intended to support safe access, forestry operations and risk mitigation in areas affected by explosive remnants of war.

Forests of Ukraine is one of Europe's largest stateowned forest enterprises, managing approximately 6.6 million hectares of forest land and employing around 33,000 people. In addition to sustainable forestry activities, the organisation is responsible for fire prevention and forest protection infrastructure and provides recreational areas for the public.

The cooperation reflects the shared objective of improving safety for personnel working in and around contaminated environments, while supporting Ukraine's broader recovery and landuse efforts. By combining local forestry expertise with specialist explosivethreat knowledge, the agreement aims to reduce risk to staff and the public in affected forest areas.
