Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has reached a milestone of more than 1,000,000 square metres of land cleared in Ukraine using its mechanical demining platforms operated by GCS-trained personnel.
The cleared area includes land processed by operators from GCS, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU), the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, and Nibulon. Across these operations, a total of 531 landmines and other explosive remnants of war (ERW) were removed or neutralised.
Mechanical demining activities have focused on areas assessed as having high levels of contamination, with operations concentrated in:
Mykolaiv region: approximately 400,000 square metres
Kherson region: approximately 165,000 square metres
Kharkiv region: approximately 300,000 square metres
These regions have been significantly affected by landmines and unexploded ordnance, limiting safe access to agricultural land and infrastructure.

Dmytro Salimonov, General Manager GCS Ukraine, commented:
"Reaching this milestone reflects the reliability of the technology in use and the professionalism of the demining specialists operating in the field. Mechanical demining plays a critical role in addressing ERW contamination at scale."
GCS continues to support clearance operations in Ukraine through the deployment of mechanical systems, operator training and onsite technical support, contributing to the safe return of land for civilian and economic use.
