Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine (SSTS) at its headquarters in Freienbach, Switzerland, followed by a working visit to the company's production facility in Stockach, Germany.
Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine (SSTS) at its headquarters in Freienbach, Switzerland, followed by a working visit to the company's production facility in Stockach, Germany.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on current and future requirements in humanitarian mine action and explosive threat mitigation, and to review GCS capabilities across technology, operations and long-term support.
During the visit, GCS presented the scope of its explosive threat clearance solutions to representatives of the Main Directorate of Mine Action, Civil Protection and Environmental Safety of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The delegation included Colonel Yevhenii Zybarevskyi, Deputy Head of Mine Action, and Colonel Olha Drobot, Head of the Mine Action Information Management Department.
The State Special Transport Service of Ukraine was represented by Colonel Serhii Bezruchko, Head of the Support Department, and Senior Lieutenant Viktor Vyshnov, Officer of the Support Department.
Discussions covered mechanical demining systems as well as complementary capabilities, including detection, drone?supported assessment and jamming solutions. The visit also highlighted how operational feedback from deployed systems informs GCS research, development and continuous improvement.
Dmytro Salimonov, General Manager GCS Ukraine, accompanied the delegation and commented:
"Our cooperation with the Ministry of Defence and the State Special Transport Service has developed through continuous operational engagement since 2022. Hosting our partners in Switzerland and Germany allowed us to demonstrate how technology, production, training and service support are closely linked in practice."
The visit reflects GCS's ongoing engagement with Ukrainian authorities and operational partners, supporting coordinated approaches to humanitarian mine action and the sustained deployment of clearance capabilities in Ukraine.
