Global Clearance Solutions AG (GCS) has established a dedicated service and maintenance workshop in Ukraine to support the availability and operational readiness of its mechanical demining platforms deployed in-country.

The workshop is designed to provide repair, maintenance and technical support for GCS equipment operating in demanding clearance environments. It has the capacity to service multiple GCS-200 platforms, which are used to address explosive threats affecting agricultural land and critical infrastructure, as well as the smaller GCS-100 platform.

Fabian Klauser, Head of Service and Maintenance at GCS, highlighted the importance of local preparedness:

"A locally available workshop allows us to maintain equipment efficiently and support the sustained use of deployed assets. This helps ensure that investments made by operators and international donors translate into continued operational output."

The facility supports GCS's ongoing cooperation with Ukrainian partners, including SESU, Nibulon and other organisations involved in clearance and recovery activities. Technical support teams provide maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair services to minimise downtime and support continuous operations.

The establishment of the workshop complements GCS's local presence in Ukraine and forms part of its broader support framework covering deployment, operation, maintenance and technical assistance for mechanical demining systems.
