Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) has received a conformity certificate for its GCS-100 mechanical demining platform from CROMAC CTDT (HCR-CTRO). The certification was awarded following testing and evaluation conducted in Croatia.
The GCS-100 was assessed in accordance with CWA 15044:2009 and IMAS 09.50 and approved for use in humanitarian mechanical demining operations. The certification confirms that the platform meets the applicable requirements for safe, effective and efficient mechanical demining.
Under the certification, the GCS-100 is approved for:
Mechanical demining in all soil types to a working depth of up to 16 cm
Clearance of low, medium and high vegetation
Mechanical neutralisation of anti?personnel (AP) mines to a depth of up to 15 cm
The GCS-100 is GCS's most compact mechanical demining platform. With a weight below three tonnes, it is currently the only platform in its class certified for mechanical demining under the referenced standards, making it suitable for operations where access, transportability and reduced ground pressure are critical factors.
The certification supports the use of the GCS-100 within regulated humanitarian mine action programmes and provides operators and authorities with independent confirmation of compliance with internationally recognised standards.
