Jamming Product Line Architect (m/f/d)

Mastering the RF spectrum – Symlab AG was founded in 2016 and is growing steadily in the development and production of equipment such as jammers, receivers, transmitters, monitoring and classification devices, radio direction finders and antidrone equipment. Symlab AG, headquartered in Freienbach, is a subsidiary of Global Clearance Solutions AG, which eliminates explosive threats and enables the reconstruction of war-torn regions. 


We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Jamming Product Line Architect to lead the technical direction of our advanced jamming systems portfolio. Based at Technopark Zurich, you will act as the technical front leader of the product line, driving innovation, defining the long-term technical roadmap, and representing the solution credibility to customers and stakeholders.

You will work closely with the Product Manager and Sales department, acting as the technical counterpart, ensuring that product strategy is translated into a robust, scalable, and future-proof system architecture. This role requires a strong blend of hands-on engineering expertise, system-level thinking, and customer-facing communication skills.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and own the technical vision and roadmap for the jamming product line

  • Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • Translate market and customer requirements into system architectures and technical solutions

  • Drive innovation initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies relevant to embedded, Linux-based, and RF systems

  • Work closely with Product Management to align business strategy with technical execution

  • Ensure architectural consistency across products, including APIs, SoC-based platforms, and system interfaces

  • Oversee the design of user-facing components, including web-based GUIs

  • Support bid activities, technical proposals, and high-level solution design

  • Ensure scalability, performance, and maintainability of the overall system architecture

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

  • Extensive experience in Jamming related Systems and embedded systems and system architecture, ideally in Linux environments

  • Experience in RF systems, wireless communication, or signal-processing applications

  • Strong background in System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms and embedded software development

  • Proven experience defining and managing complex system architectures and technical roadmaps

  • Experience designing and integrating APIs and distributed system components

  • Strong understanding of software-hardware integration and system-level design

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with customer-facing experience

  • Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, strategic direction

  • Fluent English (mandatory); German is a strong advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with web-based GUI architectures and modern frontend/backend technologies

  • Knowledge of system security and high-reliability system design

  • Experience in product lifecycle management and innovation processes
